Sahan Jayawardena is an independent filmmaker based in Los Angeles, originally from rural Iowa. Graduating from Syracuse University with a BFA in Film from the College of Visual and Performing Arts, Sahan has experience with both sides of the industry, having worked on short films, documentaries, commercials and interning at the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and the American Film Market with IM Global. 

Now, Sahan is focused on documentary filmmaking and is currently developing his first feature documentary, The People's Game.
